The backup sensor in my 07 Cabrio keeps blowing fuses. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

The fuse F41 for the backup sensor is also used for the power steering fan, which is known to fail frequently. You should get it checked out. It is potentially a safety hazard.

I had the same issue with my 07, and as the other person said, have the power steering fan checked. The power steering fan was bad in my Mini.

Power steering fan?
I assume the power steering fan cools the power steer pump (which I understand to be electric). Is that on all the time? I assume that if it fails you can cook your power steering pump which I understand is electric.

The reason I ask is that I got my car back from the dealer and the back up beeper was not working. Since my bike rack makes the back up beeper whenever I shift into reverse, I wasn't too concerned when it didn't work. It was a "feature" that I wish had an on/off switch.

I should check the fuse (I have had the car for almost 3 years and have not yet needed to open the fuse box).

Fuse 41?
I opened both the fuse box under the hood and the fuse box on drives side kick panel. The fuse numbers don't go up to 41. Any suggestions?

What fuse number does yours go up to? This was posted in another thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...nd-wiring.html

fuse 39
It looks like my "fuse 41" is fuse 39. Not blown which means my backup warning is due to some other problem. Off to the dealer...
