New hub. About $200 for the part. Part #31226776671

My guess is that the lug bolts you tried are the wrong thread... MINI uses a strange thread...

No, I had no problem installing all 15 Nuts, but the very last one must have started off crooked and ruined the hole. If I had that hole bored out would the lug be larger then the other 15? . Where would I start to find someone to perform this task? Bill

Don't worry about it...it happens all the time. Get a helicoil: http://www.helicoil.in/

Any garage or tire place should have them or be able to get them from any auto parts supply. If you don't want to install it yourself, just drive the car at a reasonable and safe speed, with the lug bolt missing, to the shop.

I wouldn't go with an insert or a temp repair... replace the hub... it's too critical a part to take a chance with.

Never, replaced a hub before, is it difficult to do? I have ordered one and it should be here by Friday, not sure if I should attempt to do the change over myself. Any tips would be appreciated. Bill

If you mean the hub bearing nut, Bentley Manual says it's 22mm.
