New cab top - yeah! Squeaky - drat!

My 2005 MCSc has a beautiful new cab top, courtesy of a not-so-local dealership - great service, but a 100 mile drive (OW!). The top although beautiful, water tight and brand new is squeaky! There are at least two spots where the top creaks, right behind/above the driver's left ear (!) and in front of the passenger. It's been 1.5 months, and we've had hot dry weather and cold rainy weather and the squeak is unchnaged.

I think i can have the dealership tweak the top, but it is at least an all day affair - a day i don't really have. Can anyone suggest something I can do myself?

The car was deliciously silent before the new top. My husband has a 2001 BMW 325 convertible, and it squeaked for 2 years!!!!!!!! The MCSc is my DD, and the squeak will shortly drive me to hari kari.....

Thanks!

My wife has the exact same problem. The top on her cabrio was replaced this week. I'll get back to you if we figure out the problem.

Squeaks and creeks are not uncommon on convertibles.

A lot of people buy them, not knowing what daily driving a convertible is like. My Miata was just as noisy. It the nature of the beast.
