Cabrio MCS Underside Pics

R52 MCS pics of "bracing", close ups of tension strut mount and tension struts, I want to see if I could put in my R53. Pics of the mounting points on rockers and under carriage.

If I can get mine over to work soon, I was planning on putting it on a lift and taking some pictures. It might be a week or two before I can wrestly the new car from my wife's hands.

Oh, and what is a tension strut and a tension strut mount? You are talking about the braces on the undercarriage, right?

I'm not aware of ANYONE installing these on a coupe... there are structural mount points for them on the cabrio chassis that are not on the coupe chassis.

Here are a couple more pics.

Closeup of one of the rear center mounts

The outer ends bolt to steel bosses that protrude through the plastic sill covers - which also don't exist on the coupe...

PGT has cabrio braces on his R53, which is now for sale in the marketplace. You might ask how he got them on.

He has the front cabrio braces... the ones that mount under the bonnet and brace the front strut towers. Not the under-body brace.
