R52 Last of the R52s
a few observations
the special bonnet stripes, are sport stripes. I was happy about that. The door sills rock, and the badge is bad ***
Delivery was supposed to be 7/21 for me, it was worth the wait. My wife shot some photos while the MINI was delivered. here are a few I will put the others in the gallery. We are suppose to have rain all day tomorrow for this hurricane so I may not get more shots, but we will see.

Wow, those sidewalk seats are comfortable

And the car... everything I imagined.
First drive in an S was the 90 mile trip home, and it's a JCW at that. It was raining pretty good, and it was glued to the road. Everybody should have a MINI.

If you are going to Ocean City and getting rain all day, what state are you in? you must be on the east coast as I.

Looks like a very happy little boy loving the convertible!!! He might need a MINI hat and sweatshirt to support the cause and back seat!!

New Sidewalk!
Just picked up my new MCSc! Am absolutely loving it, can't believe it's actually better than I thought it'd be! Dealer told me I have to leave the tape on the stripes for another day (no, that's not a crummy green tape job
)
These are my first pics! Not the best but why waste time shooting photos when you could be driving!

Thats too funny, I've never heard of stripes having to cure for a couple of days.

Are you sure your MINI dealer isn't just messing with you?...

And masking tape is the worst thing you could put on a Bonnet that will heat up.
Sounds to me like the guy that put your stripes on might be new to the job.
I would check around with a few professionals like Cooperflags.com or aestheticreations.net .

Well, they put on tons of stripes at this dealership, so I guess I thought I knew what they were doing
I do have to admit you're making me nervous though... Pull them off and risk whatever their worried will happen if I do so, or leave them on and risk my hood! Well, it's cloudy here so at least the adhesive of the tape's not baking onto the car!

I'm not worried so much about the sun baking them on as I am of the engine heat baking it on.
I have never heard of using masking tape on a any car, if you need to use tape then the industry standard is painters tape.
