Jethro! Get away from the computer darnit!

Damned dog! I caught him that time! He thinks he has me snookered and did until I noticed some kibble under the gas pedal...

Seriously, I hear tell this is a book that mixes love of dog and car together very well. The author spent many years with the SCCA and he's very highly regarded over there.

We are a 2 dog family (#1 Mutt & a Jack Russell) both smart enough to NOT jump on side of mini whilst I pull into driveway & park. Who cares what they do to everyone else's car

whenever my dad turns on his excursion (v10 turbo diesel) my dog sprints to the back yard. She also does it when the shop-vac is turned on. ha

Here is my wife's baby. He isn't trained to hear either of the exhausts yet... we have to park in a parking garage that is a short walk from where he can hear. He is trained to go on the paper though. Pretty good for 4 months old

My sheltie is ALWAYS in the window waiting for me when I pull up. It only took her a few days to shift from the previous car (used cop car) to the mini.
What impressed me the most, was at the recent Spring Clean up party that Detroit Tuned had, the other dog (an eskie) went and stood by MY mini, ready to go home. How she distinguished it from all the others really amazed me, because she doesn't like to ride in it, or even go near it. (smell? sight?)

Our coonhound, Chester, can tell the difference between my Mini and my husband's MazdaSpeed3. He absolutely adores them both and goes running into the back yard to bark at them whenever they leave or arrive. However, his absolute favorite sound in the whole universe is the sound of our four-wheelers. He's highly into motorized vehicles.

Our basset hound, Otis, on the other hand, loves to bark at the coonhound while Chester barks at our vehicles. Otis is more of a symbiotic barker. He's very sweet natured but not the brightest crayon in the box.

I don't have a dog, but my mom has a Jack Russell, and she tells me that whenever I stop by, the dog starts to bark & get all excited a couple of minutes before I walk in the door. She told me the dog must be able to hear the MINI as I turn into her street.

No dog here, but my mom's dog (rottweiler) barks and chases me when I leave? Not when I show up, when I leave...

Her name is Sophie, but I call her "Dumba$$".

not bragging but

I was complaining about the spark plug and wires needing changing and when I came outside I found this....

Then my daughter could not find my camera - went outside and found this...

I have to be careful about where I leave the keys. I caught them planning a trip....Yes that is a dirt road and a MAP

Both dogs enjoy the MINI. After the above event they worked to clean up the car. They were afraid that they would not get out in the MINI again. This picture makes me think that they may not be the brightest kids on the block (look at the windows):

HAHA, too funny. Great pictures! Our yr old Black Lab/Border Collie (rescued....abused and left at the shelter) loves to go for rides. I don't have pictures at this point of her and the MINI... Seeing as how she is a certified therapy dog, and is currently enrolled in agility training, I think the rewards she gets are worth it to her for going for a cruise

Here's one of Bailey (the Black Lab/Border Collie)

Chloe (our 6 pound Shitzu/Maltese)

SNICKERS!, dog of evil, knows how to get the tastiest of treats...

(yes, that's my arm)

But in all seriousness, she is sometimes too smart for her own good. She has discovered that I don't like my bedroom door open in the morning (drafty!), so she will repeatedly ram it open until I run out of pillows to throw at it and am forced to get out of bed. Cattledogs can be tricky like that...

No photo shop. The dogs will do anything for liver treets. Once you have the commands "Sit" and "Stay" in place the rest is just staging. In the first photo there was a treat on the valve cover (also a sheet of paper to protect the treat). Had Kona (the Poodle) at Sit, Stay while I set up the shot and started shooting before I gave the "OK" command.
The car wash and Zelda the Photohound (the black Cockapoo) shots were shot much the same way. The hardist shot was with Zelda taking pictures. Both Zelda and Kona got a little fat that day. I placed a treat on top of the camera. The treat would fall of, or my timing would not be correct, or Kona would get board and lay down. Each setup got a new treat. The dogs really had a good time. I wanted Kona inside the car like the first shot but Kona was 13 (now 14) at that point and had trouble supporting the weight on her hind legs.

Great work! I know about their fat days when a lot of treats are given. I'm a trainer and when for a trainer's course I had to teach my dog to lick on cue (not kiss, but lick his mouth), we went through A LOT of treats that week! Your dogs are very cute and I have always found poodle/poodle mixes to be so smart, great captures on your behalf too!

My son has a Rhodesian Ridgeback (4 yr old female named Nala) that is really smart.

They moved from Colorado Springs 3 years ago to Tulsa, OK. A year ago he drove home for Thanks Giving Holiday w/ Nala sleeping the entire 10 hour ride.

As he drove the familar pattern or turns & stops to get into our neihborhood, Nala sat up at attention all at once, just 3 houses away!

Mine are smart enough for guard duty and squirrel chasing.
