Nothing happens when I push the Roof Open button. Red light on buttons does not come on at all. No motor noise or any other mechanical sounds. (It's not the only one side opens due top broken cable problem - I've already been trhough that once). Package shelf is in place and depressing the sensor switch. Load assist levers are fully in the closed positoin. It worked fine just a couple days ago.

Anyone have a suggestion? I've already made a service appointment - but if this has a simple fix I'd rather do it myself.

 

This suggestion is unencumbered by experience - maybe something as simple as a fuse? Good luck, and let us know how it turns out....

 

Thanks. The 20A fuse for the roof motor blows as soon as I try to open the roof. I've gone through a few fuses and it happens every time. Seems like there might be a short somewhere.

 

Damn. Sounds like a dealer thing to me....

 

Turned out to be a wiring harness which was chafing. Dealer replaced and re-routed the harness under warranty.
