Arm Rest installation

My 2008 S Convert. does not have a arm rest,I've been looking at one on the CooperSport.com site. Anyone install one ? There is another one on the MiniMania.com site.Is it worth it? Bill

Yep

I bought my wife one for x-mas 2007.
I was able to install it all myself. Be careful with the e-brake boot. I broke that plastic piece by mistake. We used the OEM mini part. You can match up to a black or anthracite interior (ours was the later).

I have a color install guide I found someplace on the net. Let me know if you want me to forward it to you?

The install takes several hours. Less if you're especially handy. I'm not ...

It just kind of sits there. You don't notice the boo-boo unless you closely inspect the leather boot. And if you do you notice it's not really attached at the bottom.

I was more annoyed because it's my wife's mini. Were it my hummer I wouldn't care. Just sucks to break a small part when it's not your car.
Sucks even more when your wife gives you crap about it.

Anyone answer this for me?I installed the OEM arm rest in my 08 Mini Carbo, and noticed the top tends to slid back when you rest your arm on it.Just wondering if I did something wrong. There were no instructions in the box. I used a tutorial for the forum that was Great, pictures and step by step instruction.

They slide back naturally - one of MINIs big complaints
They are expensive, or I'd replace mine with this one:
