Help, rearview mirror install issues
Ok,
After searching and searching I have found plenty of threads on how to remove your rv mirror and how to reinstall i a tin top, but nothing on the cabrio. Tonight I was installing a toll tag and accidentally pushed down on the mirror and off it popped from the mount. Now for the life of me I can't get it back on. Any hints?

Absolutely - it twists on and off with some pressure towards the glass. Here's my posts on removing the mirror: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=91925
Puppetmaster FTW! Yep - it twists back on. The only real trick is getting sufficient upwards pressure to make the clips engage - I find it's easier to do so with the cabrio top OPEN, so you can kneel on the seat and don't have to crouch.
If you push it up wth the mirror slightly slanted, then twist and immediately feel resistence (as the clips begin to engage), you know you're on the sweet spot. If you don't apply enough upwards pressure, the clips will pop out, and the mirror will twist freely - just push upwards harder the next time. Once you do it once, you'll do it the secod time in about 5 seconds, honest.

Yep, it comes on and off without even thinking about it now.
Now I just gotta get my audio wiring harness put back together after my oem ipod so I can install my HD DICE....... eeks.

After not removing the mirror for 4 years, it is much harder to do again. I had to check this thread so I could do it. I had a radar detector mount on the mirror this time and removed it so I could trade my R52 in :( I am really going to miss her, but it was time. I wish I could have purchased another Cabrio or Roadster, but the wife never road with the top down (or much at all after I installed the aftermarket suspension) so I am going to get the ALL4S a try.....
