Eeeks!! The Black with brown piping looses the warmth and I bet would be very hot on a sunny day I wonder if MINI is going to make that change in the states also??

I certainly have nothing against black leather in the cabrio -- but this certainly destroys A LOT of the SW's distinctiveness.

I bought an '08 Sparkling Silver S Cabrio Sidewalk in December not knowing a thing about MINIs because it was love at first sight. And I don't regret it for one second! The best decision I've ever made!

Quesera,
Only one warning about the Sidewalk - you could become obsessed I have never been obsessed with any car before. I saw my Sidewalk at the dealers and simply fell in love. I wash it after every snowfall to keep the salt off, and of end up waxing it at least once a week. My wife thinks I am crazy!! To me a car was just a tool, but there is just something about the MINI that makes that makes it so much more. It is just sooo much fun to drive. Be warned

^ CupOJoe: good point, but unfortunately, as evidenced by NAM members, this is true of any MINI -- so the only solution may be to get a Ford Taurus instead

Sweet ride "New Mini" I like the silver - that combo is so striking even with the top down. What's the cutout in the drivers side dash by the door? Is that a cubbyhole to hold stuff??

Our Sidewalk is BRG, and combined with the Malt Brown leather....well....it's really sharp looking. With the top up (don't go crazy folks...sometimes you have to put it up) we were searching for a way to have that "unique" look, so we had the side and back windows tinted really dark and we even had the windshield slightly tinted. Looks good and keeps it cooler in warm weather. You will want a wind block, if you don't already have one. Go with the one discussed at the top of this forum. Ev can make it in Malt Brown for you.

The hole in the door is a place to put something like a cloth or a pen if needed, It usefull little storage area.
