R52 Best way to apply fabric guard to top?
As Saltwater Blimey (the pirate of NC) says the Fabric Guard and the Aerospace Cleaner are one and the same except for dilution. Cut the Aerospace Cleaner by 10 and it will be the same. As for wax - Epic is immune to the Cleaner; carnauba will come right off.
BTW, I use a brush to scrub because the boot end of the top gets so gnarly it brings to mind the scurvy of pirate scum.

But FAIL... Fabric Guard and Aerospace Cleaner are NOT the same... you meant to say fabric cleaner....
If aerospace cleaner is more concentrated, it's definitely NOT 10x... maybe 2x... (edit: this part is WRONG... see below...)
But I mispoke also... I'm actually using the Fabric cleaner, too (not aerospace)...

You're correct. I've edited. Oh and the directions on APC do say cut by 10. I bought a gallon of the stuff because it is just so great. I use it for carpets, garage floor, engine, undercarriage and general personal hygiene.

OK... I fail also...

Coulda sworn I read 2x dilution somewhere... musta been another product.
But yeah... I just bought the fabric cleaner - already diluted... might have to get some aerospace cleaner if it's that concentrated... gotta be more cost effective...
I used the fabric cleaner to clean nasty sweat stains outta my prized UJ MINI hat last night... worked great... effective but gentle.

Good source for 303 and other specialty cleaners and fabric treatments is a local marine supply store. Boats have acres of fabric that need the same cleaning and protection as our MINI tops. One caution - for a MINI top make sure you get the FABRIC not the Vinyl stuff... Also - lots of people use Woolite for cleaning tops, awnings, and other outdoor fabrics between treatments.

I am sooooo glad to see a posting for this. I just bought my MINI in Feb. and don't know if it has ever had any treatment on her top.
It's 40^ here right now and rain this weekend but I know what I have to do soon as a hot weekend gets here.
Thanks,

No, I don't think so. Sorry.
Just kidding.
I have already copied it and have had a 22 x 34 printed up. It is now hanging in our bedroom next to our velvet Elvis we got at AMVIV.
