Yeah, we found lots of MCC's around here in the colors we want, but we really want an MCS for our weekend toy.

Looking forward to that beer... do they sell Yuenglings Black & Tan out there ?

FYI, there are two HO Cabrio's here in central FL. However, they're not S models

I really appreciate you checking, FL !

But we have some non-S HO MCC's here in the MD area. We just want some extra zip out of our weekend motoring toy. We'll leave the MC's for the commutes.

Ha ! (laughing at myself)

I owe an apology to my new friend "TIG" who I called "Twig" about five times in this thread. My 46-year old eyes that need 1.75 reading glasses let me down.

Sorry, TIG !!!

It's OK.

If this HO MCS is as good as it appears, when Mike & I (and probably other WCM miniacs) go inspect it for you on Sunday, you'll have the opportunity to fly out here and apologize in person. I like Frozen Muddslides

I spoke with Lola (the Sales Rep) on the phone. Our appt to "view" the MCS is set. I got home from work 15 mins ago and plugged the camera in to charge. I'm making a list of specific things I want to inspect. We'll be taking a few tools along with us.

Anything you'd like us to look at specifically, or just every little thing in general?

I wonder if Lola knows what she's in for.

Frozen Mudslides... given how much effort you're putting forth for me, Tig, I'll buy you 20 of them. If you can't consume all of them at once, you can bring a couple of them home and stick them in the freezer.

Poor Lola, she won't know what hit her when you and Mike walk in their showroom with toolbox in tow. And wait until you start taking apart the strut towers looking for signs of mushrooming.

Okay, seriously, give her a good run through some local roads and make sure she has no shimmy, no spongy brakes, etc. Take a look for any signs of body damage, even a tiny door ding (negotiating tool). Check for signs that she's been well taken care of... condition of the paint (scratches, swirls), wear on the interior, etc.

With only 9,000 miles, I would expect her to look very close to new, even if she is two years old.

Like I said in my PM, have fun, just keep her off the redline when you drop her over into the Sport Mode.

Thanks again, you're a dear !

I wouldn't do that to the NAM community !!

I'd have a name change to CR & PW & HO. That's not so bad, is it ??

I like "HO" on the end. That cracks up.

I swear, I'm not 12...

Edited to add: I may have to come down there for the delivery party (if I'm allowed). You guys are way more fun than the folk up here...

You and hubby can meet me in San Diego ! And if you want, we can make a motoring event heading back east.

Looks like, if we buy it, I may be making the long trip back home solo. My other half can't get off work more than a few days and I don't think we want to make that loooooooooooooooong trip in just 2 days (one day to fly out).

I can't imagine it'd really be "solo", it looks like you could be escorted the whole way. Matter of fact, if your motoring plans will bring you through AZ you're more than welcome here for a break.

I bought my Luie in Denver and motored home to Tempe in one glorious day - what a blast! And really, us MINI owners being crazy, isn't that part of the fun?

Well, I could at least get ya to where the 15 starts heading east. Then I gotta go north.

I have to say tho, that is one nice MINI. I looked at the Hot Orange cabrios before buying Clara. It really was the color I wanted, but at the time I had no desire for a cabrio (since then, I've thought maybe I could live with one...ha). The interior and everything on that one looks really nice.

Crossing my fingers that it works out!

I don't think it would be easy to get to Maryland from San Diego without going through Arizona. So I'll keep that offer in mind, Coops !

The most I've ever driven in one stretch is Wichita, Kansas to Pennsylvania. 1250 miles. Did it in 17 hours. And that was back when the speed limits were 55. And I was young and stupid.

Thanks, Mel... you're very sweet. Not like that "bamatt" person, at all.

Tig, I think you have it all covered !!!

Now, I can save you a LITTLE time. This dealership bought the car at an auction (Lola says that's how they get most of their cars). Evidently, MINI puts them out for auction if the car doesn't sell off their lots in "x" amount of time.

So... why did that car not sell quickly ?? I'm sure you'll find it if there is a reason, given that checklist !!!

The best tag abbreviation for menage a mini I can come up with is MINI HO sry It could be an inside joke. The public would think you are wishing them a Merry Christmas but we at NAM would know the truth

& p.s... if you own 3 MINIS it is a rule that you have to attend MOTD. Look in your owners manual if you don't believe me.
