R52 WICH TOP ...
From my experience Blue is the worst, Black the best. Don't know about Green. My Blue top showed immediate signs of rubbing, and was replaced @ 3,500 miles or so. (Currently 6,800 miles) It's better sicne they replaced the top and used the updated roof bows
I'd say black just because of the dirt that might show on blue or green. I'm starting to show signs of wear too, but I have 17K on it. Then again the previous owner might not have used the top at all (like a lot of BMW owners it seems, no offense).
My black one is starting to show some wear as well. Pics would be great if anyone has some from tops that were replaced. And to think I have only had Cecilia for a month and only 3K miles since I got her!
But I am not going to replace it yet. I'll let it get worse....I have up to 100K to change it!

I'll turn 50,000 miles today, so I'm guessing that I'll be living with the outcome of this new top for quite a while. I could have had it replaced earlier, but in Northeast Ohio we get some pretty bad winters with salt and crap on the road, and I figured I'd wait to have it done so that I didn't have to deal with 2 years worth of road crap on it through the summer. It's been treated each year, but still...

We have one with a blue top and one with a black top. They both seem to be holding up about the same, and we put the tops up/down a lot.
As for the wear marks, every MINI convertible top I've ever seen has a few shiny spots somewhere on the top. The difference is, on some cars, those spots continue to wear until they eventually fray and then turn into holes.
After 17,000 miles on mine and about 15,000 miles on hers, our "shiny spots" look the same as they did a month after the cars were new.

These are some picks I took just before mine was replaced. It's hard to get good pictures of the spots.

So I think color has nothing to do with Cabrio tops & how they wear.
