New 2006 MC Owner

Hey,

I just bought the last new 2006 MC at my MINI dealership in Ottawa (I got a great deal! ) and I was wondering what I should be watching out for, as far as problems or issues. It came pretty standard are there any upgrades that you would recommend? I know nothing about cars but I am anxious to learn.

Welcome and congrats on your purchase. I have had my 06 MC for almost a year now and have been problem free. Take care of him/her and it will take care of you. Happy Motoring

I was in your position a few months ago. The way I got the most information was to spend a few hours going back ove the latest threads. From there I had enough knowledge to use the search function to get the details I wanted. A search just on 2006 upgrades listed 50 threads. I don't believe there are many questions that have not already been answered.

Welcome to the group. It is a great forum with many knowledgeable members.

Welcome to NAM
you have come to the place to learn about your MINI there is an answer for every question you may have here on NAM.
I would sure hope you have years of problem free driving on a "new" 2006 and any troubles you may encounter would be covered under warranty
and didnt anyone tell you " when you buy a MINI all your problems disappear."

The only problem I experience on a daily basis since I got my MINI is a strong reluctance to come to a stop and get out of the car once I arrive at my destination. This is a recurring problem, and I don't think there is a fix for it, which is just fine with me!

Welcome and enjoy your new baby!
