wind noise

I have a little wind noise in my '06 MINI Cooper. Almost none to speak about at "normal" highway speeds (55 mph) , but at freeway speeds (70 mph) or better it gets more prevalent. I haven't ever ridden in anyone's Cooper at those freeway speeds...so maybe you guys can tell me. Is this normal or not? I did not do excessive speed and am not mentioning anything about excessive speed here, but I imagine if I did do some kind of excessive speed it would probably be pretty loud.
What do y'all think?

POWER to the MINI's!!!

Do you have any idea where it is coming from? Do you have the sunroof? Have someone ride with you and just glide their hand slowly over all openings until the sound changes and that area is your culprit. I did that with a wind noise in my pickup that was driving me batty.

I get a wind sort of whistle that sounds like it is coming from the rear hatch starting at 70 speed units. I have not had anyone sit in the back to confirm, nor have I tried to slip the proverbial dollar bill around the rubber seal when closed. I'm guess that at speed, the low pressure at the rear hatch pulls the hatch away from the body just enough to allow a little wind whistle.

This is about the only annoying thing about my 06 that I can think of. Would be nice to find and eliminate it.

I get an obnoxious whistling sound coming from under the dash at highway speeds when the AC recycle button is on. As soon as I turn it off, it opens the vent and the noise stops. If it is a whistle, this could be the culprit.

Good advice

That's good advice, I will have someone ride with me to see if we can determine where it is coming from. It sounds like it's coming from the windshield, but it could very well be coming from the sunroof as well. There is a bit of a whistle associated with it when it gets pronounced.
Thanks!
