Update: My dealer called NJ and found out that my car is being released from the VPC today. Should arrive by the weekend and I'll get it early next week. He said that it's not unusual for some cars to be delayed even past the point where subsequent boatloads are released. In other words it's not "first in, first out". Well, it should be!

I guess access to too much tracking info isn't such a good thing sometimes. I do feel better now though.

Got my MINI yesterday!

Click HERE to see another picture of the family with the car at the dealership.

I didn't want to clog up the thread with a big picture.

Yeah. They tell me it takes about a week to go thru the processing.
That ok, gives me time to sell my other car. Who did you buy through?

Good luck in selling the old car. I'm getting nibbles on mine, but no one is willing to pony up the cash.

I can only imagine what the trade in on a 94 Miata is.

Is there anyone that was on the Don Quijote that still says En Route in the Owner's Lounge? I could have swore that it docked on the 9th. When i track my VIN # on the site, it shows that it was discharged on the 9th, but i'm still showing En Route on the Owner's Lounge. Anyone else in this situation?

Yep, I'm in the same boat (literally). The OL is very bad about keeping up to date. On the last car I ordered, I got a call from the dealer telling me to come get it the same day the OL was updated to say it was at the VDC.

It'll happen eventually, probably when it doesn't matter anymore.

That's good to hear, cuz this is my second car as well, and i'm really worried about a second mishap during delivery (as you all know, my car was crushed at VDC last april). So do you think that our cars are already at VDC?

I expect that they were delivered to the VDC on the 9th or 10th actually. The question is how long does it take to get through that and on a truck. Long Beach said they expected cars in today, but couldn't tell me what is comming in... No phone call so I guess one isn't mine

Well here goes my sad mini story. My dealer tells me that when my car was at VDC last april, 2 cars were damaged when a metal container box fell on top of them. One car was totally crushed and the other car(mine) was dented on the roof. They tried to fix the roof but since i sustained over 5% body damage, they would not release my car, hence i had to reorder again.
With the tracking systme all out of whack on miniusa and my dealer still thinking that it's "en route", i'm really worried that something weird is going to happen again. BUT, since all you guys are waiting as well, it really eases my mind.
Back in april, some peeps only waited a couple of days to get there car out of VDC, some waited about a week and a half at most. But the Owners Lounge was more on point back then.
My car is going to Irvine Mini, so Wastik and I might be on the same truck.

Cheers,
Jeremy

I feel your pain man. I will definately post asap when my car arrives. Waiting for my mini really is nerve-racking, especially when it's soooooo close. Gosh, i wish they just updated that damn site!

Cheers,
Jeremy

Thanks for the support. But dude, you really gotta be going crazy. Having your car CRUSHED in transit?? Wow that realy sucks. This will be twice as sweet for you! Did you have to wait long to re-order or did they put you right through?

They put me in front of the re-order list. Plus they're giving me a little discount for the hassle of waiting again.

My car was supposed to arrive the week of April 8th, and i found out it was crushed around the 21st. So they offered me to reorder or pick out of some cars that they were ordering from a FL dealership. I waited to see what cars they bought, but didn't like any. So i placed my reorder and got a June 20th build date.

I'm pretty excited, but the lack of updates and not knowing whats going on, is really getting me worried again.

I'm jumping in here from the old "Can't Wait for February" Club. Best wishes on a speedy and safe journey for your MINIs! We really feel your pain, but you're in for some truly awesome fun!!!!! BTW, a tip...don't think for a minute your sanity will improve one bit after your MINI arrives. The wait is a kind of novitiate, really. It recalibrates your entire system.....for the MADDNESS OF MOTORING!!!!!!!

I got the car!! The rear sun roof is set a bit low so it sits below the roof line. I might deal with it as a warranty problem when it comes service time. Beyond that, tight as a drum.

A word of warning to you guys who are picking up your cars as LB. Their Saturday prep crew leaves a little to be desired. I found some dirty finger prints and smudges, but besides that LB was great to deal with. No games, no head aches, just go in, fill out the paper work, pick up your car, drive away happy. I was able to get 4.24% financing through them too.

If I can, I'll take a few pictures and post them soon.
