Kumquat, it is very possible that you could have your car by the end of June with a build date of 6/6.

My previous order for April delivery went:

Ordered went in late January,
Had an initial build of 3/7,
Bumped up to a build of 2/28,
Loaded on the ship and arrived in CA on 3/22,
At the dealer to pick up 3/25.

I don't know if it was Karma, but the car flew through production and shipping. I'm hoping for a repeat this time too.

With you being on the east coast, it cuts out a good week or so of sailing time.

Placed my order last weekend and it was the last allocation slot for May with a June production scheduled. My dealer told me second or third week of July delivery...yeehaa. I pulled my MCS order (placed in January) from another dealer to go with this dealer.

I was told I was looking at allocation in late May or early June. I would love to get the car in time for the Vintage Grand Prix in Pittsburgh which is the third weekend of July I think. I look good to make it for training camp.

Well the train has left the station so to speak. My order has processed and my MCS has a tentative production date of June 26. So, a late July delivery is a possibility if all goes well. The anticipation begins to increase

I just got my production number and it first said 6/27, but today it now says 6/13. I guess I will be getting my baby early to mid july.

Does anyone know how long I will have to wait for they car to reach Texas?

Anybody in thios club from Connecticut or Philadelphia? I ordered from Mini of Fairfield County in Connecticut but reside in Philadelphia, PA. Had an order at a local dealer but the wait was too long (8-10 months).

Not sure if I belong here???
Got a production date of 5/23 but my dealer (East Bay Mini in NorCal) is telling us 90 days to delivery from date of production?? So I'm looking at late August?!?! Is that right? Seems like you folks in SoCal are only being told a little more than a month...I can understand East Coast timing being different but ours shouldn't be that different...you think our dealer just tells us that so we don't bother them all the time and they can just call two months early and say "surprise, your mini is here!!"

Dixie, with that production date (Remember the mini is actually finished the maufacturing process by that date) I think you'd have your mini in July. I have a 6/6 production and expect delivery in mid-July. Although I'm on the east coast, with the 2 extra weeks I'd have to think yours would make it to Colo around the same time. Perhaps your dealer is trying to keep your expectations low. Good Luck!

Dixie

Yea, that date does seem awfully late. I'm in Colorado, and my dealer gave me a July delivery date. My production date is 5/16.

Just called yesterday, my baby's in the paint shop. Status 152!

Wow - at this rate I might be moving to June (fingers crossed).

Called ask-mini this morning, and they said that my car was built, and awaiting final inspection before being released to Southhampton. However, I checked the shipping website, and it said that my mini was booked on the Madame Butterfly, received at the terminal, and currently waitlisted. Wow! Though it also says the ship has alreay sailed, so who knows.

Regardless, the next ship gets in to CA around June 18th I believe, so there's a chance I could be motoring by July 4th weekend.

I love how you can track all this information! I wish there was a little more consistency though. The notoriously slow owner's lounge still says that I'm 'scheduled for production'!

I was wondering how many of you who have had your orders in for some period of time changed their orders at all?

I've been going nuts. So far all I've done is add the Winter package. $300 I don't know why I turned it down and I've been thinking of switching from space cloth to Lapis Blue but I think I've fought that urge back. And I think about switching my color choice from Indi Blue/White to Red/Red or electric blue/black (I said I was going crazy), but I saw an Indi Blue/W Cooper coming home in the rain and it looked great so I think I'm safe there too. Red rarely looks red enough and there is the matter of John Law involved.

Hopefully they'll get my order in soon and these will all be moot points.

Tom

>>I was wondering how many of you who have had your orders in for some period of time changed their orders at all?

Ordered mine in mid-march but the order didn't get to MINI until the end of April. I knew exactly what I wanted (see sig), but I have been thinking about removing the rain-sensing wiper option due to the reported windshield problems.

95% of my normal driving is on the highway and I've ALWAYS had chips in my windshield in every vehicle I've owned. I'm just worried that I'll be replacing the MINI windshield often and the rain-sensing feature will make it more complicated (and more $$$?).

I have a $50 WS deductible, but how many will my insurance replace before dropping that coverage?

Maybe I'm worrying about it too much - I don't know...

To track your mini go to http://213.31.205.37/GLWebApps.AppTracking Click on auto and put in the last 7 of your VIN (ie. TDXXXXX). I've heard that once you get your VIN in the owners lounge you can go to the site and see what ship it is planned for before it is built. I don't know if it is true, I'll find out in a few weeks.

I would start to seriously watch the cargo tracking site the week your car is suppose to be built. I've found that the cargo tracking is a lot more accurate than the owners lounge. Last time they knew where my car was and what ship it was to go on before ASK-MINI did. A few days after it was on the ship and had sail, the OL finally showed it in transit.

I've got a build date of 5/23 (1 week from today) and just tried to track it but there's no info there yet. I'll try again next week closer to production date.
