Hey all

I think my mini has the base computer programming on the OBC. I do not have premium pack on the car, but do have the MFSW. It is only showing outside temp and average speed, is there a way I can get at the other functions, like mpg, miles left to tank, etc.? Can I have the dealer do this for me, or is there a way to use my m@d car h@xx0r skillz? Thanks

 

Your car either has the OBC or it doesn't. My car doesn't & it only shows outside temp or mph. I do not believe the dealer can change it to a full functioning OBC.

 

I'm pretty sure you can enable the OBC yourself, it's built into every mini, just not enabled.

Do a search on it, I bet you guys could get it on your cars.

As an additional note... regardless of whether you have the OBC or not, you will not get the current speed (i.e. speedometer) in the digital readout if you have either the factory Nav system or the Chrono pack. You ONLY get the digital speedometer in your tach if you have the large central speedo.

 

Those who get the R56 will be able to. Thats the main feature I'm jealous of in the 'new' MINIs.
