Water pouring in when I open the window/door

Whenever it rains and I open the window, I get a large dribble of water pour on me. (It's not a small amount of water, either.)The same thing happens when I open the car door--my seat gets pretty wet. It seems to dribble from the top area of the window at the A pillar. Is this a common issue with other owners?

Yep, that's why I always carry a towel so I can blot the water from my seats.
Of course it does the same with snow, but no blotting then - just brushing.

Either that, or you are parked in a lake! Seriously, I get this all the time, too.

I hear it's a bit of an issue for all MINIs - but it's definitely an issue with every convertible I've ever had (ragtop = no rain gutter).

My favorite is going through the McDonalds drive through in the rain, where they have the little roof that only covers half the car. So there's a FLOOD of water pouring off their roof onto my roof, and into the car when I open the window to get my "happy" meal...

But hey, small price to pay for how great the cabrio is on SUNNY days...
