Anyone have the Griot's garage extendable lug wrench?

Thinking of getting one, but want to know if it's something that's just going to break after some use...

I don't have one bit Griot's has a great warranty. They usually do a pretty good job of selecting what they sell so I'd give it a try if it is what you are looking for.

I've used their speed spinner lug wrench for a couple of years and it is well made; I'd expect the same from the extendable.

broke

I've broken 2 of them with stuck lug nuts.

nothing beats the old BMW lug wrench for size and simplicity

i think the extendable wrench is similar to (or the same) to the gorilla
brand one. i have the gorilla brand (well, it's in the car my wife drives)
and it works, but where the socket connets to the wrench is kinda wobbly
because there is no plate behind the socket to hold it perpendicular to
the bar.

i think you'll be better off with a 1/2 drive long handle breaker bar from craftsman
if you plan to use it regularly. for emergencies, the ext. wrench works.

I've purchased a number of items from Griots. They do stand behind them but I have found that they are overpriced in many cases. I use their catalog to identify some "neat" tools and then go purchase the same for less or go to SnapOn if I really want the best. Do a little research and you can purchase the same or better quality for less.
