A month ago the airbag light went on, its done this more than 6 times before. I took it to the nearest mini dealer some 150 miles away to get it fixed under the 10 year extended warranty on the airbag system. At anyrate once there they said thay my passenger airbag is defective and they wouldnt let me take my mini home. They said it would be illegal and dangerous. I could have driven my mini away when I emptied my stuff out but I needed the airbag I guess. Well, the repairs will be free of charge and they gave me a new X5 suv as a loaner car, also free. Needless to say I'm not used to such a lumber wagon, it has no power to speak of and handles bad. At about $55k or more with all its frivolous options I'm going to go rent a junker (a Ford Aspire) from our local rental place so i dont get slamed with repair costs if something happened to this lavishly opulent mud-runner. Oh, sometime next week I should get my mini back, some "currier" is to bring it up...I'm worried...

I kinda forgot to mention...they have to ship a new airbag in from somewhere. I find it strange that they dont have some in stock...
