Love the shot of your dog in the snow. Reminds me of our dog. He would do the same thing. Loved the snow.

My MINI was a champ yesterday night. I stayed at a hotel across the street from my office on Wed. night so that I could open and shut some critical functions yesterday. After spending a day and a half alone in a big office building (besides the security guards) I was more than ready to get back home to the wife and kid. I had a fairly short drive (normally 5-10 minutes) with snow tires and my Maggie did just fine. Had a couple near misses - going up a slight hill a Firebird pulled out in front of me, spinning their tires like mad. I was able to slow down enough that they got going before I had to stop. When I got into my neighborhood it got a little interesting. There were tracks where trucks had gone through and 1 - 1 1/2 feet of snow imbetween. I was plowing the snow chugging along until some guy in his 4x4 had his tail end blocking the road and I had to stop and immediately got stuck (50 yds. from my house). A few minutes of shoveling and a push later, I slid into my driveway safe and sound. I was impressed with the MINI (but not enough to keep me from taking the wife's Outback to work this morning!)

Nice pictures. I love your dog.......
I'm so jealousy, perhaps you can ship some of the white stuff up to Toronto. UPS still accepts the last minute order..
It's raining now and there is no chance for a white Christmas at all. It's been so warm that I feel like having an Australian Christmas :< :<
Hope your Subaru is ok after the snow melts.

Subaru is fine, and it is out and running now, no problems what so ever. Traction is outstanding, only problem was clearance....37" and drifts make it so I can't go anywhere. Now most of the roads are snow packed, so I am fine, and have amazing control.

no car will do well in 37 inches. I had a Jeep Wrangler that my wife got stuck 15 ft out of the garage when we had 30 inches here in VA back in '03.

My point exactly. A friend that drives an A4, lowered, ABT front spoiler, went out and made a beer run in the middle of the blizzard. On his way back home, he got stuck in his complex...where there was already about 24" of snow. He got stuck, had a friend/neighbor help dig him out and tow him to his driveway. In the process, the lower front spoiler/air dam broke off and was destroyed.

Well, now he wants to go after his HOA for damages to his vehicle because they did not plow. Well, that was only half way through the storm, the winds were between 30-40mph...causing massive drifting... At that point, why plow, because in 20 minutes, the snow is blown right back into place. By the time he was out, The entire state of Colorado was on advisory...only essential personal. He paid no attention, and now wants to blame someone else for the damage to his car. What an a$$hat.

Anyway, the subaru is running fine now, and I am about to make a 32 mile drive into Denver for work tonight...as I am essential personal

Down here in AZ the same people drive across flooded washes. Now the idiots are required to pay for rescue costs.
