Anyone having problem with lug nut size?

Hi all,
This post is about 2006 Mini Cooper built date 10/06.
I ordered a set of cheap winter wheels and M3 snow tires from tirerack two weeks ago.
Sure, they shipped them right out and got them in two days. While trying to install it on the mini, i found out that the new lug nut's diameter is too small to fit on the mini.
No problem calling them to get a second set of lug nuts...
The fun began here, the second set of lug nuts they sent me was exactly the same set i got for the first time...
So, I called them whats up.
Since then, they kept sending me the same wrong size lug nuts. :impatient
Now, I have five sets of lug nuts lying in my room that doesn't fit on my car...
Tirerack says BMW/Mini must have changed spec on my car somehow and will confirm with BMW/Mini... I'm waiting for them to call me back.
I was promised to be compensated for what happened, (possible discount on my next purchase?) so I'm not trying to bash tirerack or anything.. they do have a great service.
I was just wondering if anyone else on this board with 06 Mini Cooper (not S) having same problem as mine.

p.s.
anyone need a set of lug nuts... its free! I'm guessing these should fit on pre 06 Mini Coopers...
