Hello,
Is it even possible to get the seats (passenger and driver) to recline all the way back to a half-way comfortable position to like take a nap or something? Seems I can barely get past the 90 degree mark.. it's comfortable for driving, but a little furthur back would be nice.

My 03 seats recline all the way back. Make sure you are using the lever next on the parking brake side of the seat to adjust the seats.

They should lay back untill they hit the rear seat. More if you scoot the seat foward. Use the lever on the handbrake side of the seat. Whatever you do don't use that lever if the seat is in the rear seat access position ( door side lever & seat flopped foward) or use both levers at the same time. It will cause the seat back to flop between all the way foward & all the way back, not catching anywhere between. Fortunately there is a reset procedure you can do yourself, but thats another story.....
You may have the infamous 'stuck seat' issue. Can't find the thread, but I had the issue with my passenger seat.
The fix -
move seat all the way forward
sitting in the back seat, lean seat all the way forward
holding adjustment lever (which ever way is the correct way to recline - I think it's up?) grab headrest and pull seat SHARPLY back
Repeat until seat reclines, or you lose grip and fly out through the boot.
It was a little scary, but I was assured by NAMmers and my SA that the procedure was the correct one. I discovered the failing while trying to nap at a rest stop on a cross country trip - more room in the passenger seat (but not when it won't recline
)
Supposedly 'something' gets misaligned, and forcing it is the only fix.
Any old timers remember the thread?

Yup that one. I used the tackle/face plant from the front as opposed to the wrestling/rollout the rear hatch style. The main thing is that it goes BANG & you know you have now surely destroyed it; yet its fine.
Initially you push down on the rear seat access lever (by the door) Tilt & scoot all the way foward. Tilt seatback to where it is stuck but don't slide seat back to its starting position(defeats purpose of everything done to this point) Now climb on or get in rear (if your some kind of freak) (kidding) Pull up on other lever (handbrake side) & without releasing the handle or letting the seat bottom glide back, proceed to seemingly destroy your seat as described.
Before I reset my seat it just flopped around not latching in any position, so I'm hesitant to suggest trying the reset procedure for fear it might go POW without the happy ending.
Eric when yours messed up, how was it stuck? If it was similar to his I'd say go for it!
