Whatever you get, get them from Classic MINI of Ohio as, surprisingly, only minihune suggested.

I have the carpet mats and think they're excellent (although I don't live in Wisconsin). They're only $68 not $95 as others have mentioned. I have the same CR/W/Pleather setup as you and the mats are "black" and match perfectly. I also have the $40 rubber mat which is not rubber at all. It's a semi-hard plastic very nicely molded to fit the contours of the boot and has a very fancy jewel emblem in the center. It is extremely durable but offers no traction. I recommend the $40 boot mat and $25 cargo net as well. You may want to consider adding the $60 driver's side shelf to your Classic MINI order while you're at it.

I like Classic Auto Campus and the discounts are great but for me the cost of shipping is a killer. Just check with them how much for shipping to your particular area. I was charged about 6% tax, and for shipping by UPS from Ohio. I paid something like $53 for shipping a medium size box about 5 pounds. Of course if you live in the continental US you will have more shipping options than JUST  UPS. It's discrimination against people that live on islands

Tax? What's that? Isn't Hawaii considered part of the US?

I had a ton of stuff shipped in 3 different boxes. The heavy floor mats, the bulky boot mat, sun shade, oil filters, even a Union Flag roof graphic. They shipped it all the way across the country to Tucson for $28. At around $8/box, I'd estimate the actual UPS charges at about $25. Fair enough for me.

I ended up buying both the black mats and the gray carpeted mats because I couldn't decide. It has worked out so far; rubber for the winter/wet months and carpet for summertime.

>>>>I knew I wanted rubber floormats, but MINI's 2003 version just wasn't as cool as their 2002 version. So I found the 2002 version on ebay. The seller still has some - here's a link to a current auction.. $60 + shipping. I got the matching boot mat as well.
>>>>
>>>>I can't wait to put them in the car!
>>
>>Suppposedly they stopped selling these due to people's heels getting caught in the rubber circles while moving from pedal to pedal. I've never heard that confirmed but it was odd they pulled that design so fast.
>>
>>Personally I think they're pretty cool as they extend the design elements of the car a bit.

I just bought the original designed rubber mats for the MINI on Ebay. The circles are inverted near the drivers foot area so your heel doesn't get caught. I have had zero problems with these mats after I installed them. I originally had the carpet mats intalled, but I like the look of the 02 rubber mats better. The rubber floor mats seem to seal off the floor well better, and trap the dirt and grim on the mats rather than the carpet.

I do the same, Brian is a very nice person to deal with.
Gets all my business on OEM Mini parts - has all stuff from 2002 and 2003 Mini motoring catalog, too, usually at 20 % off.

>>
>>No matter which you pick, if you are going with factory MINI branded mats, Classic Auto Campus (see the MCO Sponsor Directory at the left) will sell them to you at a substantial discount; as much as 20%, 30% or more off. It is definitely worth giving them a call or shooting them an email before you give the dealer any of your money. They can get you virtually any factory OEM MINI or BMW part, at significant discounts. I will be buying all my OEM MINI accessories and aftersale parts from them.

>>My MCS is due in at the end of May and dealer would not throw in floor mats (at least I asked). I like the looks of the ones they offer through the dealer, but I think they were $95 (excluding boot mat!) I'm wondering if anyone knows if those particular mats are ONLY available through MINI dealers or, if not, where I could find them. I've seen various ones on different sites, but none look to be what MINI offers. Also, for those of you who went through your dealer for them, I'm wondering if black or gray would be the way to go with black interior/silver dash. I believe the carpeting is grayish in the car - I can't remember! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on anything you might have to add. Thanks much! NUMMY

An inexpensive alternative if you have the Lapis Blue interior is the AutoZone's translucent "electric" blue vinyl floor mats.
Though not a perfect match in color I think they're kind of wild lookin'.
The match doesn't look as different in person as it does on the photo.
They cost about $20 bucks for the pair.
They are vinyl, and you can cut the pre-cut sections out easily to fit the Minis pedal placement.

PS - thought I'd add that the little silver radio looking thinghy is exactly that.
A satellite XM-Radio mounted on a double ball GPS mount available at West Marine. BTW, you DO NOT have to put the ugly "hockey puck" sat antenna on your rooftop. It works perfectly centered on top of the dashboard all the way forward near the glass of the windshield and is hardly noticeable.... I love listening to the BBC World News in my Mini!

OH! So you want to see the Jelly mats in the back seat too?
Well, here you go.
And since I've noticed you have an Indi Blue Mini I've thrown in a pic of my Indi Blue tail light covers that set off nicely against my electric blue Mini.

BTW, in both shots you can see where I screwed up thinking the seat rails were symetrical. Oh well, my next pair will be right on...besides, the four mats only cost $20 bucks!

Whatdahyathink? ~Yfoiler

Another angle...

And finally for those of us into the Blues...

Also nice tinted rear lights. You can also tint the side markers on the fender wells for a complete steal look. Looks dark except when the lights are turned on. Don't tint too dark because the side markers are supposed to double as side reflectors too. In fact your tail lights are supposed to act as red reflectors. See if they still reflect with all the lights off at night. If they don't then they are not exactly legal-but you don't have to tell anybody
Thanks for the pics. Black is so dreary in comparison

Phil at grafikdezine.com did my hood and side graphics and also my indie blue tail light covers. I don't think he will install the tail light covers unless you go to his shop (New Jersey). They are vinyl and need an experts touch to put on. I watched him do it, and I must admit, I would have given up and ruined them. It's not easy (like window tint) to get it to lay down properly---but he did it.

More kudos here for the MINI rubber mats. Mine were a "gift" from my motoring advisor, so really I had no say in the matter, but they held up wonderfully through our exceptionally snowy winter.

One note about them: others have mentioned the velcro you can attach to keep the mats from sliding... I opted not to put the velcro on, and haven't had any slippage problems at all! The mats are such a good fit to the foot-wells and I think that keeps them in place.

Yfoiler - WOW!! BLUE!! I love it, and your MINI looks great with the tint too! I should do that - it would help me wake up every morning when I'm driving to work.

Nummy, definitely get the rubber boot mat too. It's great for throwing all the wet snowy, muddy stuff back there!

Here's my floor mat dilemma. I'm going to use sheepskin seat covers. (It's a must; I'm a sheep farmer.) Do you think the cocomats will look busy with the sheepskin. I ordered a black and white car and I'm going for a classy look. Don't want busy.

>>Once again the floor mat topic surfaces. So many people complain about the OEM mats that it makes sense to look elsewhere. I love the Cocomats and think they will last as long as the car. If you are not sure about getting something sight unseen, then contact them and they will send you samples. They have great customer service. I highly recommend them. Here is again a picture of black Cocomats with gray dot pattern.

Really? I haven't seen/heard many complaints about the OEM mats for MINI. The coco mats are cool - I'm not disparaging them at all - I just haven't witnessed many complaints about OEM MINI mats.

I think you should try to have the dealer throw in the carpet floor mat, carpet
boot mat, rubbet mat for the front-back-boot and a cargo net. which my dealer
had throw them all for free. is that cool or what.
see if your dealer can do the same

LaBoy - Wow, pretty nice "throw-in" with boot to boot. I tried this and it didn't work. Just got the forlorned, scrunched up face saying, "Sorry, we can't do that." Found we have an indirect link to someone who works in the parts department, so can get the set of cloth ones for $65 from him so that's not too bad. That price tag of $95 is a bit too steep for me for floor mats (minus boot, I might add!) I'm itching to get my message to him through my grapevine so "the deal" can go down. Glad you got YOURS included (Some people have all the luck! )

I should have specified that the carpet mats have been said to show premature wear. I haven't hear of any complains about the rubber mats. Most of the sources for my comments came from the roadfly forums. There are even a few posts on this thread that have hinted to wear problems with the carpet mats. See Donna/Mike, Gabe and FWD-MX5 posts.
