Seat Heaters blowing fuses constantly

Anyone else have issues with their heated seats blowing the fuse all the time? Mine keep going out because of this and I wonder if others are seeing the same thing. My dealer has been great taking care of things, but this is getting annoying.

Well, either the heating unit is malfunctioning, or something's grounding... you either have a frayed wire that's touching or moisture got in there. All you can do is pull outthe seat and carefully inspect the wiring leading up to the seat - look for kinks or openings in the wire. If the wiring looks solid all the way between the fuse and the heater unit then the heater itself is pulling more current than the fuse can handle and might need to be replaced.

One question - you say he dealer is taking care of things... What have they said? Or did they just swap the fuse? If so, that obviously wasn't your problem and it's time to call them again.

I'm going back in to see them on Wednesday, just wanted to check with everyone here to see if there is a problem I wasn't aware of, or the dealership may not be aware of. They have always been very open to the suggestions I provide them from this forum. NAM has helped me out a couple of times like that.
