R50/53 LED Washer Jets
LED Washer Jets
Yes, my car came with them because it was originally this

This is a model of my car before it was sold to me, and it had red neon street glow, strobe lights and those led washer jet lights. The LED washer jets is the only thing left on, but i want to get rid of them so badly
. I dont know where to look for the OEM washer jets, the dealer didnt have them when I swung by
. I've been surviving off electrical tape but it looks so sloppy, so my question is where can I find OEM washer jets??

Looks wild! Any photos of the car with the full lighting effects?
Washer jets doesn't seem like an item that a dealer would normally keep in stock. You can have the dealer order them and it should take no more than a week. Meanwhile, you can disconnect the wires to the LEDs. You'll have to do that anyway when you swap the washer jets.

Sorry, when I got the car, the streetglow was broken in different parts, and the rear neon went under my exhaust so it smelled like burnt plastic after driving, and they had taken out my tire rack as a result, so I had a spare rolling around in the boot. The strobes never worked either, so when my engine hydrolocked I just told them to take it all off. (I still need a tire rack) I was thinking about disconnecting them, but I have no idea how, I was also thinking about painting them that too, but I thought it would just be easier to replace them with stock ones. And I've never seen the stock washer jets in action but these ones are aimed way too high.
But yeah my Mini was originally apart of the Red Hot Road Trip caravan from Bacardi. Mine and 2 other Minis followed an RV around the country going to football games and other Bacardi sponsered events. It's an 02, only had 29,000 miles on it and I got it for 12k!!

Salvage yards = best place. You CAN aim the jets, you know, and a little bottle of flat black touch-up works wonders (I had a c/f hood on my last black car, needed jets, bought LED ones and painted 'em black. Looked fine even up close).
Best way to get the neons unhooked is to trace the wiring back to point of origin and remove - hopefully they were installed with some sort of plug. Chances are, though, that someone either butt-connected or tap-connected them, in which case sever each wire at the connection and tape each with Scotch 33+ electrical tape (not that cheapo stuff), THEN put a ziptie around the tape to keep it from unraveling. I've done this on many "restoration" (perhaps "resurrection" is a better word) projects and it lasts for years.
Good luck! Quite a piece of history you have there. Sure you don't want to restore the bling bling lighting?

That shouldn;t be too hard of a lob to do. I know Steve at Custom MINI Shop has done it before. You can call them a call at (559) 320-0004 and they will be able to get you the part and tell you how to put it in... If youre in california, they can put it in for you too.
