Help!!! My Feet Are Freezing...
Ok guys, I really need some help here. I have an 03 with auto climate control. This is my first winter with the mini. When I put the control for heet to my feet i have a very strong flow of air out the dash but very little to the feet. Does anyone have any fixes for this? Is this how it is?
I sure would love to have warmer feet.
thanx

Let's start diagnosing?
1 when you put you heat on and the airflow out the dash or defrost outlets, is it hot?
2 What does your temp gauge say?
3 If you put your hand (carefully on your upper radiator hose) is it just warm or really hot?
Let's start with these and go from there.

I have an 03 Cooper. Never had a problem with heating the feet. You may want to try closing your dash vents if you have the heat setting just headed to the feet. That would direct all the air there instead of splitting it between the two places. I usually have just the feet heat setting on and the car warms up nicely.
I think that MINI's climate control has a problem. Mine is the automatic type, and it directs the heat to my feet when in AUTO. If I manually select feet, even more air is directed there.
Me and Clo are the only ones on NAM (it seems), who actually like the auto climate control. If there's not a mechanical or electronic problem with it, it's really great.

PS If the coolant has been drained and refilled, there is a bleeding procedure that must be followed. If there's an air bubble, it may affect the amount of heat, but not the action of the vents.

So might I suggest those thick wooly socks with an battery operated heater that hunters use out in the field?
