Motoring Heart Badges...
Hey ya'll I was curious to see how many of you guys signed up to volunteer? I received my badge last night and it's really nice...good quality....it's not why I signed up though....see I have no real life and I figured if I was gonna be hanging around the house I might as well sign up and do something!!!...my Beagle dog of 11 years passed away on 6/23 of this year and I've been miserable since, not quite ready to get another pet I figured helping out at a shelter would allow me to be around all kinds of animals without having to make a commitment....basically I cleaned up after a bunch of dogs but after I finished that I got to take them out so they could have some human contact....run around, play fetch....just letting the dogs be dogs...it was a lot of fun and I plan on going back...maybe I'll find my next dog there while I'm at it.....I haven't figured out what I'm gonna do with my badge yet but when I do, I'll post up some pics...
Anyways, enough about me.....if you signed up to help out....what did you do? How was it? Would you do it again? Did you get your badge? What did you do with it? If you have time and feel like helping out in one way or another.....check it out....

Hey nice job! Sorry about your Beagle. Please do consider getting another dog. There are so many that need you.
I volunteered at a horse rescue. Been there a few times and plan to go again. Even cleaning up stalls, it's a pleasure to be around these awesome animals.
I still have not mounted the badge. I want to figure out a way to mount it off the rear license plate frame.

Hey
Sorry about your pup. I know what you are going through. My first rescue dog, Hootie passed on March 16 of this year. He was my best buddy and I think I will always miss him. Take care of yourself. There are many that do need a caring heart at the shelters

Kudos to you for giving back to the community. I've recently moved to a new state and plan on getting involved with animal shelters here. I know it is difficult losing a pet. It's hard to jump back in and get another dog so soon, not wanting to have to deal with heartbreak again, which we all know is inevitable. But I always think of it this way: the unconditional love you get from your animal and the ability to give it a safe and loving home is well worth the grief that comes at the end.
As far as your badge goes, MINI actually makes a magnetic Grille Badge Holder especially for it so you can proudly display it on your front grille. AFAIK, you can get these from most dealers, and there are some other vendors as well. You can find a few links to vendors at the end of this article: http://motoringfile.com/2006/11/30/m...ate/#more-5395.

Hey Johnny,
Sorry about the dog.
I have a Motoring Heart Badge and I put a piece of velcro (the one with the hooks) on the back and put this in the back window on the package tray. Looks good and won't walk off.
