I just saw these posted on the scooter BBS. As many of you know, this race takes place in Mexico and is known as the worlds most dangerous road rally. It started in 1950 and ended in 1954 due to the many fatailities. The Mexican roadside was littered with wrecked cars and it is rumored that some of them from the original races are still rusting away on the bottom of a few hillsides. 2006 was the 20th anniversary of its return. Check the blog, though - that Mini flipped on qualifying day 3 but was repaired and running for day 1 of the race!

I've been following the Unlimited Class blog and this one too, by Coop. I've also been following Rachel Larratt's blog too. She had two co-pilots running the new Unlimited Class in this race in a Lotus Elise. She was trying to keep up a blog but poor connections and the rigors of this race slowed her blogging down. One of her co-pilots posted a day by day in this thread on ET. Start with post #128 by Steve W. It is a really great story about some rookies in this race.
