Tinted windows, scratched glass

I had my windows tinted at a reputable tint and alarm place but found the back window film had a flaw or gouge in the lower right corner. I brought the car back and showed them and no problem replacing the film the following week. Well, I just got back from that replacement and the film looked find but tonight while cleaning the outside of the glass I found a inch and a half long scratch in the rear window in the black portion of the glass. Crap, here I was worried about them tearing up the defog wires and instead somehow they managed to scratch the outside of the window. I will see how bad it looks tomorrow in the sunlight. But I don't think it's going to be worth my time or hassle to confront them on it. Where has quality work gone? BTW, the car is only two weeks old so there is my first ding.

Sorry to hear about that window - the first ding is always the worst, especially if done by someone you were paying for quality work!

OT, have you joined the local club - Dynamic Mini Collective/Desert Rat Pack? Lot's of great people, and a really fun poker run coming up this Sunday

This is a hard item here. To scratch glass is very hard to do, good luck.

UsCoops, I did join the club but have yet to attend any functions as I have been working weekends this month.

I took the car back to the window tint place after I called and told them of the scratches I found (the deep one I found last night and a smaller one I found today in the daylight). They are an auto glass place too and had their glass guy look at the window. Too deep to polish out so they are ordering a replacement window, will pre-tint the window before installation and did not even offer an argument. I didn't ask and they didn't offer an explaination for the scratches. I am kinda thinking maybe they knew they screwed up when they offered to replace the glass without batting an eye. Now if they don't screw up the glass installation.
