I have a completely stock MCS (stock for now), and I still get waves from just about any MINI I see, around town or on base (Ramstein, Germany). Sometimes I'm the one who forgets to wave.

If someone gave me a Porsche i'd sell it and buy another Mini. Not everyone uses cars like the Mini as a stepping stone. I'm not sure why people talk about porsches like they're the end all of performance. There are quite a few other cars that can keep up with, and beat the pants off of porsches. Porsche is a nameplate, nothing more. Some people buy them because it makes them feel good about themselves. The true enthusiests buy them for the same reason most of us buy our Mini's, we like the car!

Really? What kind of dealer did they get?

Really? What would they be? See

We wont even talk about the Carrera GT, just the other 997s like the GT2, GT3 or TT. So which one OEM cars can "beat the pants off them" at the RING? BTW, don't mention "modified" cars because you know you can "modify" any car.

I am curious as to why would make such a statement with the facts dont seem to back you up

Well I can say this as a "stock" owner, I prefer to leave mine stock (at least for now) for a few reasons, primarily because I just recently got it and because I happen to think that it is beautiful just the way it is.

I consider myself way beyond an enthusiast, considering I have been salivating over MINIs since the day I first saw a classic Mini before the BMW version was released.

I can say this as well: I know of at least a few modded MINI owners that are not MINI enthusiasts, but rather modding enthusiasts. I think it is hard to tell how much of a true MINI enthusiast a person is by just looking at their ride...

With all of that out of the way... I wave at any MINI I see, but I don't always get one back...
