Anyways, I haven't checked the mail in 3 days...I sure will tonight!

 

Mine arrived today, less then 5 seconds to slip them on. Sorry about the dark pics, she's in the garage and the lighting is not too good so I had use a flashlight, the camera's flash washed out the pics too much.

 

How do you get it? Are the just sending them out to owners?

actually you had to get the black box with decoders and stuff and search through magazines to find this, I'm not sure if its a USA thing only though

 

I got mine yesterday afternoon! Too cool. I just need to spend a few moments to get it to fit over my chrome (middle bits) covered toggle switches.

 

I rushed home to check my mailbox, but no Spy Toggle Panel.

And I was so looking forward to trying out the smoke screen and ejector seat.

(I won't try the Oil Slick; I really don't want to have to clean up my garage floor.)

 

Got mine yesterday. Took some work to get it on, but once it is on it looks great.

 

I got mine yesterday but tried to put it on this morning and no dice. of course I didn't read the directions. anyway, I brought it inside work and cut the top off with a razor and straight edge. I'll see how it looks installed in a little bit. looking at it now I regret cutting it, but ahh well

 

OPPS!! Cutting the top off with a razor might be a problem as that is the part that fits in the slot above the toggle switches. "When in doubt, read the instructions".

 

OK. I'm guessing if I don't have a black box, I will not be getting THIS or whatever the first prize was? I think this black box thing COULD HAVE BEEN REALLY COOL. Instead of feeling like a special MINI owner, I feel for being left out. Actually more like .

 

yeah. it still fits ok, but it would probably bow out a bit more with that portion and that would allow it to look a little better. no worries though, I've taped it all together and am putting a nice curve in it now... by the time I go out and put it on again it will look just right

 

Yes, it's a US only promotion. And it's only possible to "order" one per VIN.

Someone posted a link to a page that had a bunch of comic book type ad's on it or some-such. On that page was a MINI logo, clicking on that took you to MINIUSA's site where you filled out the info for the toggle panel. I cannot find the link.

BTW this having to MINIs is hard. My wife beat me home yesterday and stole my spy toggle panal and installed it into here car.

 

I guess you saved the day, but it's better if somebody could share the part number. The dealer isn't very smart you know .
