R50/53 Anyone going to SEMA?
Maxim-I don't know where we're staying yet but I hear the drive from LA to Vegas is 13 hours now because of construction! Eak!
Yersterday's Vegas paper said that the construction will be in a more limited mode this weekend, with fewer lane closures than previously expected.
Drill-it is industry only, unless you know someone who can get you a ticket but ticket sales are closed.
Ok I'm out everyone! I don't know if I'll be back online before I leave (maybe) but my time is limited. Hope to see some of you there! and PRAAAAAAY the traffic isn't too bad :P

But you can get a Media Badge that will let you in to the Press Meetings and Confrences, etc.
That's how I'll go next time.
Jim
The Press was encouraged to get in and around every car on the floor.... but on the public days it was MUCH different
I just posted my announcement about Rogue Underground going to SEMA so I was just curious who all might I see there? I'm quite excited and can't wait.Hopefully the MINI industry will be there to represent
I went but didn't see anyone I knew except for the CravenSpeed guys who got me my ticket. Thanks Kellen & crew.
I did the whole thing on Wednesday. Took far fewer pictures than last time I went, but I think I got some interesting ones.

It was crazy...I hardly saw anyone. I Talked To Maximus breifly and ran into one MR.Phil (not sure the screen name). I also ran into a MINI owner to be and Henry from Taiwan who rolled his poor MINI this past year at thye Dragon. But yeah it's crazy how hard it is to track people down at SEMA. I wasn't at the Tein booth as much as I had like but I was in it for Thurs & Fri with the rep from Defi who spoke very little English (more about that later...it made me giggle)
Anyway it was a good time, my feet & leg muscles still hate me, but I guess that could be a good thing.
I'll post pics and stuff soon!
Mac-we talked! LOL hahahaha there were a few people I was like hmmmmm? can't.....think....of....why...I...know....them... .eak!

I stopped by the Cravenspeed booth as well--over in the Overhaulin Tent. Lots of cool looking cars--lots of cars with horrible finishes--and everything in between.
Richard, a couple of rows over from the Cravenspeed booth, there was a stock-ish looking MCS, dark silver with v-spokes and a stock enging in the front, but in the back end there was a small helicopter turbine engine driving the rear wheels. I'll post some pics after I unload the camera. Amazing.

OMG, that I didn't see. I think I saw that stock-ish MCS you are talking about and was wondering what it was doing there. The engine was completely stock and made me wonder what that was about! The booth had to do with Turbo charging or something like that--and I didn't see the connection---will be interested to see the pix!
