I'm with you on this. I tried it multiple times before on my 06 cooper and nothing happens. You basically can ony disable or enable DSC with the switch.

The question I have is how to disable everything (All systems: ABS, DSC, and stability controll) without killing the speedo and odometer ?
I've tried all fuse combination (there is 4 or 5 to play with that have ABS, DSC functions) and it doesn't work.
Next on my list is to try and unplug the ABS unit by acutally pulling the harness that connects to the ABS pump.

Sounds like a bit off topic....just sounds like a fault....perhaps a bad sensor (wheel speed most likely).

Talk about bringing an old topic back.....Try a post with what you want to do in the title or better yet a search..try posting a new question with the relevant info in the topic...an mostly off topic post like is is unlikely to get you much help!

Just discconect one of the wheel speed sensors

and the system doesn't know what to do. I think speed is taken off rear passenger side, but I could be wrong on that one.

the bowles of the 04 mcs computer

Ok finally maybe I can find someone here to help me out.
I was in the computer via the trip reset button trying to turn the 10 mile per hour door locks off. I was in LEsE mode and inadvertantly hit the DSC switch and now I have the Mini in a track mode? the air bag light is lit the tire preasure monitor is lit and the triangle with the counterclockwise arrow are lit. is that the the dsc or the traction control?

I had the car to the mini shop and they didn;t really know what was wrong but they said for a couple a K they could fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Motor ON!!!!!

this is one of the most interesting discussions about DSC we've had on this forum. Thanks to all that shared.
