Hi. Checking to see if anyone else has this problem.
While the car is shut off, If I turn on my directional, the lights (rear and front) come on solid.
Anyone else notice this?

Yes. It is a European safety feature.
They eventually go out.

They're called parking lights. Hit the stick left or right to illuminate whichever side of the car you think is most likely to be hit by a drunk.

I was told they were intended to light the street side of the car if you were to park it on a narrow (European) street. So that passing cars would see, and not hit it. I also saw somewhere that some non US MINIS have powered mirrors that fold up (like our breakaways) to make it that much narrower for parking. I don't know, but it sounded interesting anyway.
