something wrong with that **** or shifter man!, it took me a lot of energy and effort to pull of my shifter to replace it with a MOMO one.

My original shift **** would pop off during a quick 1-2 shift as well. Mine was also one of seemingly many which "exploded", meaning the clear soft plastic window over the pattern graphic would for no apparent reason crack apart and curl up.

I had this replaced under warranty, and I noticed that the replacement is a great deal tighter on the stem. It does not seem likely to come off easily during hurried shifting. I hope this is not going to be another exploding ****. The stock ****, though many have complained about it's size, fits comfortably in my rather big hands.

Anything that comes loose should be thrown out the window. It's the American way.

I can't believe how many people have loose *****! Mine has hardened steel jaws that clamp onto the lever like nothing I've ever seen. It'd be easier for me to yank a tire right off the rim than to pull the shift **** off. Any chance the leather or stitching is preventing the **** from fully seating or clamping?

$130 for a Whalen **** !!! Thats way to much for a shift **** and they all look the same. I haven't had any problems with my stock **** comming off, I'm going with a MOMO **** If I decide to change the stock one.

My stock **** is tight but the clear plastic covering over the shift pattern peeled off the other day. I'm going to get it replaced.

I like the UUC ****, what I don't like about it is the UUC logo on the shift pattern. I might get the UUC **** if the replacement stock MINI shift **** falls apart again.

Been waiting 3 weeks for my dealer to get a replacement in. Mine pops off and the top self destructed, but I'll put up with it for the time being. If the replacement does the same thing, I'm liable to start adapting other possibilities.

I totally agree. I got a MOMO **** that is black leather on top and polished stainless steel on the bottom. It shaped to perfectly fit in the palm of your hand and makes the shifter lever about 1-2 inches taller. Perrrrrrfect.

There doesn't seem to be a single Whalen shift **** owner that was disappointed with their purchase. Mine was worth every penny.

Get the Wahlen. It's worth every penny and then some. I never thought something as simple as a shift **** could make such a difference in feel.
