The xB does not impress me at all. Have ridden in one and the thing has lackluster acceleration and interior rattles galore.

Counterfeit MINI for sure!

Let's just be glad that some people like to drive in boxes and that not everyone likes the MINI, because then we'd be the ones with boring cars!

I'm pretty confident that Scion will be feeding customers to MINI, at least those that catch the mod bug.

I kinda like the xB! That's the boxy one pictured here, right? And the reason I like it is just because it's different - unique. It's not a grey Ford Explorer or a tan Honda Odyssey. I bet a lot of people that drive xBs are similar in personality to those who drive MINIs. Just in the fact that they are comfortable standing out and don't want to just follow the masses......

There are some very nice looking econobox vehicles especially the European ones. I think Toyota just didn't try hard enough with the Scion's design.

look at it this way, the side marker is a sexy little detail and its kinda nice that someone else thought so enough to go to a mini parts dept and buy some. i really like the idea actually, and a sweet install.

Yes the SICon Xb is in my eyes an angled 4 door MINI. And yes when I see them I get SICK!

Also the new Dodge/Chrysler Hornet based on the current MCS engine and such makes me SICK as well.

I sorta like the Xb...it's ugly but it's honest....unlike that MINI vent. Adds nothing.

Mod still don't help!

Xb is a 3 box design: bumper, hood, cab.

I noticed the new Escalade has fender vents. Guess it's the "cool" design touch on uncool cars?

I don't really know who is buying these boxes, but for the most part it isn't kids. The people who actually buy these cars are mainly middle aged adults that just want an appliance. That is exactly what they are getting also.

I looked for a second into a Scion, but I really dont like 4-door cars.

I really quite like the xB. I especially like the way that they are sold/marketed, the concept of buying a base-spec and then loading it up exactly the way you want it feels like a throw-back to the way that the Mini was done back in the '60s.

They also handle surprisingly well, sure they understeer at the limit, but they are predictable and the suspension is pretty nice 'out of the box'. They are a little gutless, but then so is the MINI ONE.

For the price they are a practical and classless mode of transport.

As for the mods on that one, it is not as bad as the ganges of civics with M3 vents, for once they actualy suit the car.....

Yeah, but the Element is actually useful, and can carry a lot of stuff, and nowhere NEAR as ugly as a Scion.

In northern CA, the only people I ever see driving an xB are hip-hop types blasting out c-rap music.

I'm not a fan of the xB, I think mainly because here in Northern CA they are driven around by young hip-hop types that drive like maniacs...always having to dodge them...ahhhhh. Anyway.

The Nissan one seriously looks like a delivery van. Bleh.

The Mercedes, I sorta like. I wouldn't want one, because it looks like it would tip over taking any corner faster than 5 MPH, but it's not ugly to me.

Add some rally lights to that, a few toggle switches inside and the xCooper and Minielement are born...
