Remove the wheel and wipe the area clean. That way you won't have any crud
under the mudflaps

Thanks, for the how-to!
Looks easy 'nuff.

Now that you have it on, does it help keep dirt/mud from slinging on to the side?
Just wondering before shelling out $$$.

Mahalo!!!

the phillips screw (on the bottom) fits into an expanding grommet (for lack of a better word) you should tke the grommet out and push it back through the mudflap, and then push the whole thing back into place. The complete install directions from MINI are on Gabe Bridger's web site. Your photos really make it easier to understand than the drawings from the MINI service manual. Thank you. I really like the mudflaps. They are only a nine dollar investment. I think they are helping to limit the wear to the front part of my rear wheel arches.

DARKSKY,

I forgot to put that in thank you.

They do help by not throwing gravel and other crap in that area. Thats the reason I put them on, I noticed that part of the wheel arch is getting beat up.
I think it will help though, I picked mine up for $11.00 so it looks like you got a better deal.
