Engine bog in 2nd gear. MCS

Today I was in a position to tach out 1st gear to the limiter then speed shift into 2nd. As soon as the tires hooked up in 2nd I experienced what I could call turbo lag the power was not there until I got back to about 6,000. Has anyone ever felt this before?

DSC/ASC? I did just about the same thing in an S on a test drive about a week ago, turns out I set off the ASC in the process of shifting.

BINGO!! Took the words right out of my mouth, if your going to be spinning the tires at all you better turn the DSC off or it will throw you on your face, no tire spin with it on!
