Anyone having this...

I have the Lapis leather. Recently, everytime I accelerate or brake, a popping movement keeps happening behind my back. If I press back against the seat it does it too... like a loose cable or something. Any ideas?

Hey Doc, It hurts when I do this.....Oh? then stop doing it.

Sorry, couldnt help myself. It might be the leather streatching around the seat frame , catching a little and releasing. No known solution except for age.

Yeah, either that or a spring - sounds like a spring.

Could be broken seat frame...had the seat frames on both the driver and passenger seats replaced.....it was a recall on early minis, but of course they never sent me a letter, just let me experience the feeling of the seat frame breaking at 70 mph...lol!

might check with the dealer...it's a warranty issue
