R50/53 Headrest Airbags

Headrest Airbags

How do we know if the airbags are in the headrest?
Just curious.

They are not (in the headrest). The airbags are located in the side of the front seat backrest facing the door, the steering wheel, on top of the glove box and in the frame that starts with the a-pillar and ends with the c-pillar.

Well, if you dont believe caminifan, take a sharp knife and VERY carefully, stab right through the center of the headrest. If nothing happens, there isnt an airbag.

Why would puncturing an airbag (not that there is one in the headrest) prove there is one? They don't go off if you puncture them do they?

Well, they might. I was feeding some wire through the back of my seat and someome told me to be really careful because I didn't want a face full of airbag. :impatient
