R50/53 Follow Me Home Lights?
I just picked my Cooper up yesterday and can't figure the follow me home lights out.
When I turn my car off with the headlights on, get out of the car and shut the door, the headlights stay on for about 30 seconds, but the running lights stay on. Is this right? Aren't all of the lights suppose to go off?
Also, if I turn the engine off with the lowbeams on then turn the headlight switch off, the running lights turn off but the headlights stay on for about 30 seconds.
Does this mean my dealer did not set the Follow Me Home feature? Can anyone who has this set tell me how it is suppose to work?
Help.

The second situation you describe is the appropriate function for the FMH lights.
1. Headlights already on.
2. Turn engine off.
3. Turn lights off.
4. Headlamps remain on for XX seconds.
If you don't need the FMH lamps, turn of the headlights before turning off the engine.
Sounds like things are as they should be.
Hope that helps.

Yup yup, Mini2Go is right.
I've got mine set to 90 seconds. If after you turn off the car, then the lights and you don't want the feature, just switch to parking lights, then off. That will disengage the FMH lights.
