Impending doom?

Yesterday while rolling up the driver side window it made a bad sound the and glass was very jerkey as it went up. Does it need lubed or is something about to fail?

No Mini dealers within 2000 miles....

Thanks,

MSC 2003 34K on the clock.

I've had that problem too.
It seems to happen more when the window is wet. After it drys out, it operates normally.

I've had the same effect from heat...

on very, very hot days. But make sure that you get it into your service record. Then if it doesn't blow until after your warranty period, you've got a case that it wasn't good earlier, and you may get a replacement...

Where in the world do you live? 2,000 miles from a dealer is pretty far. Did you mean to type 200 miles, lol?

Both of my windows shimmy going up when it's hot and dry. I'm having the dealer look at it at my 20K service.

Alaska.

Its a solid 700 miles just to get out of the state. No mini dealers in Alasks, one BMW dealer.

This sucks. We have no service support here for 2 of our vehicles. There is no Viper Tech up here either.
