David Vs. Goliath

The wife and I took or respective rides out to some back mountain raods yesterday. Tight twisty stuff. I couldn't really streach the legs of my car and she was all over me, man I am very very impressed by that little car!

Anyone else suprise some "big boys" on the real tight stuff?

I love the subtle stealthiness of the MINI. :-)

Viper? There are some videos around showing that Viper dont handle well at all on the "twisties" so that is probably part of it.

The other part is that its pretty difficult to lose any car following you in tight turns ... like you said, you couldn't get on it. If the roles had been reversed, it probably would not have made a difference either with a Viper, Vette, or any supercar. The tighter the turns, the much harder to put distance.

You're a lucky guy--especially as she's your wife!
Nice cars, too.

Oh I dont know, it turned faster times at Laguna Sea and Thunder hill than I did in my raced prepped S2000.

These roads were really tight, so the viper had no advantage, and due to its weight (3300+) it was fighting against those darn physics. Still impressive for her to hang with a Venom 550(550 hp/550 ftlbs) with upgraded brakes and coil overs.
