There was an earlier post about a DIY install of the European warning triangle and first aid kit. Does anyone have the link? My wife brought me the real deals from a German Mini Dealer and it's a must that they get installed. Thanks in advance.

 

I have them in my car. The first aid kit goes in the side panel in the boot. I put mine in the drivers side one. It you take the cargo cover out & turn it upside down you'll see a place to screw the brackets in for the safety triangle.

I'm surprised that your triangle didn't come with the brackets. I got mine from new mini stuff, the brackets were included. Maybe you can source the brackets from them.

This is something that I think they should start requiring in the states. I got my MINI while stationed in Germany and these both came already installed in the car.

 

Yep same here. My 06 was delivered with them installed but I did get it in Germany (where I still am).

 

Did you also buy the nifty orange safety vest? hehe Congrats on the items, mine are always popular at MINI meets

And FYI, the first aid kit has Tylenol with Codine in it I believe...so it's kind of illegal...not that anyone would look.
