May 21, 2002 - ordered BRG MCS w/ Sport/Premium/Cold pkgs & Leather int - put down $1000 deposit - waited for prod #.

June 30, 2002 - Dealer tells me cannot even order it yet because BRG N/A until 2003 model year - can order in September 2002.

July 27, 2002 - I notice a posting here stating there is a 9/8/2002 prod date for 2003 MCS's.

Did my dealer make an oops? Is there anything I should/can do? Am I not being patient enough?

The waiting is the hardest part...

 

It is possible... With the wait at most dealerships, people who put down their deposits now, will not receive their cars until the 2003 calendar year, hence the wait for the new model... If you're still confused on what you're dealer is doing, go to someone else.

 

It's probably due to the BRG. It was not available on the S for the 2002 MY when I ordered.

 

Hmmmm. I'm pretty sure that production of '03s begins in September, from what I've read on all the MINI boards. I think you should consider calling several dealerships to see what they have to offer you. And, yes, BRG has been added as a color option for '03 MCS models.
