R50/53 28 mpg hwy in the Cooper
I haven't done much, if any true "highway" driving. Mostly country roads and about 20% city driving. With the A/C on almost the whole time, I had one tank where I averaged 26 mpg. With the A/C mostly off, I had one that was 31.5 and one that was almost 34. If I were to actually do true highway driving where I could maintain a steady speed, I would expect it to get even better.
I usually get about 31-32 around town depending on how much my foot is into it but on the highway I get a pretty steady 36.2 at 75mph. I just topped 3000 miles on the odometer. The best I have gotten was 42 running about 68mph. I am about to take an 1800 mile drive so we shall see how she does on that
Sounds low

Anyone have any experience with this? I didn't expect 45 mpg, but I'm really annoyed that I can't hit 30 in all highway driving.

My 04 MCS stock (baring a K&N panel Air Filter) is getting about 34 on the HWY up and down 7000 ft grades, A/C on and 17" Runflats @ 35 lbs...Redlining a bit too...not being shy either! City= low to mid 20's
I average around 30 in town and 32 or higher on Hwys and Interstate. I use my climate control on a reg. basis. 02 MC, standard. There's SOOO many factors for different mpg. I know...I've read several already...tee-hee.
