boot stripes

Where's the best place to get white boot stripes to match white bonnet stripes? I'm not really familiar with any MINI vendors. AND - I know absolutely nothing about cars and when I try to do things myself, mostly screw them up; would it make more sense to get my dealership to install the boot stripes? Would they do that, d'you think?

Thanks!

aesthetic creations

http://www.aestheticreations.net/ - this is where I got mine from. Mike is great and a big supporter - check his site out. Any tint shop will install them for about 20 bucks or some great individual on this site may even volunteer - we are a great family and always help each other out.

Awesome! Thanks so much, this is great

And another sort of trivial, stupid question that definitely doesn't deserve it's own thread -

Is the cupholder something that comes standard on the MINI? When I test drove one it had the big old cupholder up in the front, and it was kind of gawky and in the way. I don't want one, but will I get one anyway, and then have to have it removed?

I asked for them to leave the cupholder off mine, and they failed to do so. I then asked them to remove it before I took delivery, and they didn't do it then either.

Luckily its only held on there by 2 screws and some super super strong double sided tape.

When you take it off, does it look ugly? Like 2 big gaping screw holes and the icky goo-residue from the tape?

Maybe I'll just tell them to leave it off or else. I *really* would prefer not to have it.

Yep, get'em here: http://www.aestheticreations.net/

Got mine a few weeks back, plain white to match my bonnet stripes. Here's a pic. They are very easy to install and Mike's come with a new badge as well.

No mess left and the screws go back in. Get it and sell it on eBay for $15.00 if you don't want it. There are plenty of folks that didn't get them that would like one and that's cheaper than the dealer wants.

So if some people didn't get one and wanted one, does that mean that it doesn't come standard?

Man mine made an awful mess, I think I ripped the tape in half when I took mine off though, so it sounds like I may not have used the right method

Since I already had dealer installed bonnet stripes I got another set of bonnet stripes from the dealer and had them installed at one of our local MiniCC MOD parties. The Cooper Flags or Asthetic Creations would probably have done as well.

I talked to my MA today and she said that the cupholders were factory installed, and that I could ask them to take it off at the dealership; however, the MINI website says it's a $50 extra! I'm confused.

I just really don't want one - they're so bulky and awkward! Oh well.

I think I've definitely decided on the boot stripes...

PS > and if it clears things up a bit, I haven't actually gotten my car yet - it's on order!
