Geographic Distribution

Here in Nor Cal MINIs have become rather omnipresent. We see many each day. I wonder though, does anyone know (or know where to find) the geographic distribution of MINI owners? What percentage of MINIs are owned in each US state? Anyone have these statistics?

You could probably get registration data through R.L. Polk, but that information is subscription based, so posting it in a public forum such as this probably is not the best idea.

Perhaps if asked nicely, MiniUSA might provide the info.

I am curious about geographic distribution especially in light of the imminent demise of the current versions. It stands to reason that in the coming years those owners with the present version will find it more difficult to find OEM replacement parts as MINI will no longer be required to make them. Therefore, those current version MINI owners who live in an area with a larger community of current version MINIs will be able to find more easily, and for less, salvage for replacement parts. I plan to keep mine for quite a long time but want to know where in the US it would not make economic sense to own an old current version MINI in the event I should, in the future, decide to leave the SF/Bay Area. The geographic distribution of owners should be a good indicator of future supply and scarcity.
